2 Week Post-Op Check Up

Feb 02, 2011

I'M DOWN 14 LBS!!!!  YAY ME!!!!

Well, I haven't been blogging much lately.  Recovery has been pretty easy for me.  I haven't had the problems that most people on here talk about, so I consider myself very lucky!  I even told my doctor today that I feel like I eat too much.  I know that is really silly because I can't eat more than 1/4c of thin food or 1-2 eggs at a time and it takes me at least 30 mins to get it all in.  He kind of scared me though because he told me that I will definately start feeling the difference once I progress to the next stage of food.  I am so ready to get to eat meat again!  I crave it and there is really nothing that satisfies me the way a nice piece of chicken would.

OH, and I will have to say......taking care of 3 kids by myself while recooping has been a little hard.  I accidently picked up my 3 year old yesterday and pulled a suture.  I'm on light duty for the rest of the day, but he said I was going to be just fine.  Definately learned my lesson about picking her up....but it is hard not to do things when you are by yourself with little ones.  My 6 year olds have been helping me a whole lot!  They are wonderful children!  I definately miss my husband though because I should could use a nap!!!  I have been so sleepy!  And, I really should be walking more.  I haven't made myself get out there like I should but I guess it will come.  I just need to get back up to par first!

Well, can't wait for my next doctor's visit to see how much more weight will come off!  So far, no complaints with the sleeve.  Just ready to heal up completely!   Wish I knew when that would be, lol!
