Who knew shopping could be so much fun.
on May 18, 2008 6:36 pm
I finally broke down and went clothes shopping. EVERYTHING I own was too big.  I gathered up a ton of stuff that "looked" my size. It was all too big. My husband says, "try a 30/32" and I laughed. I wear a 38/40 and a 32 won't fit. I humored him and took the pants to the dressing room. I pulled them right up. Then I bawled. I don't look smaller yet when I look in the mirror, but those pants showed me. I got like 8 pairs of pants and they were all on clearance. I also bought some new shirts that were not 7x or 6x, but 5x with plenty of room.

I love shopping.

HELP! MY underwear is too big LOL!
on May 10, 2008 9:47 am
I am doing soooo amazing and loving life. I am shrinking inside of all my clothes, even my underwear and bra is loose. I am at the point where I have to wear 2 bras at the same time to give me good support until I can get a new one. LOL! I have put on some clothes that have been too tight for years and now they are too loose. I LOVE IT! I do need to get some new clothes....I am taking cash donations, and I accept paypal!

What a great day!
on March 31, 2008 1:43 pm
I love today!!

For starters, I made a commitment to get up at 6am and walk! I did it (even though I was freezing) and walked about a mile this morning! Made me feel so great today! Then at the elementary school I work at is having nutrition and fitness week so today there was fruits and veggies GALORE and I got to bring home a TON! I brought home squash, eggplant, plums, red, orange, yellow, and green peppers, and zuchinni!

I came home and got on the scale for my weigh in and was down 4 more pounds!!  It was also my birthday a few days ago and I had CAKE, chocolate mouse cake (hey I turned 30, I needed some ) but still I lost.

Should I top the day off with a lottery ticket????? Hmmm?

Oh swelling, how I miss thee.....
on March 21, 2008 2:04 pm
I am now 4 weeks, 2 days out from surgery and the restriction that I had from me swelling is now gone. My stomach feels as if no band was put in. I have officially arrived in Bandster HELL! I want to eat, eat, and on top of that eat. I don't get stuck, full, nothing. My first fill is April 23rd....pray I make it!

On the bright side I have officially lost 51 pounds, which is the most weight I have ever lost in my entire life. I can ride my bike easily now and play basketball with the kids at my elementary school. People comment that I look different and my husbande says he can REALLY tell a difference in my attitude and energy.... I still, without a doubt, believe that this surgery was the best thing for me. I can't wait until me and my band get "tighter" and grow old together.

I am at day 10 and feel AMAZING. I have no more gas preasure whatsoever and feel like I never had any type of operation at all. My insicions are shrinking and look so much better than I ever imagined.  I put make-up on (first time in 11 days lol) and got all dressed nice today to go to the movies with my hubby and I look like I am glowing! I am so happy! I love my band!

My Story

Hello every one! My name is Brenda Eien, I am 29, but will be 30 in a few weeks (AHHH), and I live in beautiful Orange County in Southern California, so close to Disneyland that at 9:30pm every night I can hear the fireworks! I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon and lived there until I met my husband 10 years ago. I am a die-hard University of Oregon Duck's footbal fan!
I am married to an amazing man. He is also a teacher and head Varsity football coach at a private christain jr/sr high school. We live football around here ALL YEAR! I am mother to my beautiful neice Jessica who is 9. She makes my world go round! I love reading and writting and I LOVE to scrapbook and create art from my memories by making homemade books, albums, and cards. I am a Stampin Up! demonstrator and during my spare time (it happens sometimes) I teach others how to rubber stamp and create beautiful creations!

I had LapBand surgery on Wednesday, February 20th 2008. I am soooo excited for the new life that I have been given!
