Hello
on November 28, 2007 8:39 am
So here I am.. on November 28th.. 2 weeks from surgery and i'm down to 278lbs.. I find that SOOO amazing!  I started my journey "officially" at 310 even though I lost a little bit pre-surgery cause the doc asked me to... That puts me at 32 pounds gone forever.. I'm SO happy!!  My wedding rings are falling off lol.. and my face is thinner and everyone says my whole body looks trimmer.. I guess I can't see it yet but i'm still happy to see that scale move ha.. I've been going to my aqua aerobics classes this week and i'm feeling better because of that too.. Hope ya'll are doin good!!  Just wanted to update lol >:o)

I am HOME!
on November 17, 2007 10:19 am
Hello all!  I'm home as of yesterday.. I can't believe it's over.. my new life can BEGIN now!!  I was really frightened about the whole going to sleep thing.. but my doctors/anesthesiologists were amazing!  I'm so thankful I chose to have my surgery where I did!!  I was also lucky enough to be roomed with 2 other wonderful women for my recovery!  It makes it SO much nicer to have someone who's sharing in the same things you're feeling!  I'm still pretty sore.. which I'm sure is normal.. turned out, I had a hernia which took a while to pull everything back through so they could see! lol.. so the doc said my pain is a little worse because of that I guess.. anyways.. just glad to be HOME and in NORMAL clothes again lol.. I am actually still UP in weight from my surgery.. so i'm hoping the IV fluids get through me quickly so I can start the LOSING!!   Thanks for listening ya'll!!  >:o)

Well here I am.. a day and a wake up away!  I'm so EXCITED but nervous at the same time!  I can't wait to just get it done with and start the healing process.. My husband's in the Navy.. so it's kind of like deployments.. The waiting for him to leave is the worst.. but once he's gone.. the countdown begins for his return.. SOOOO lol.. Waiting for my surgery is the hardest.. once it's done.. i can start my countdown to my healthier life!!   I JUST choked down my bowel prep lol.. and lemme just say WOW.. that stuff is ROUGH!! LOL  I got it down though.. and forward progress.. LITERALLY ha..

I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and have Asthma.. so I also can't wait for those to leave me or at least subside some!!  I'm currently living in Norfolk, VA and am waiting on Portsmouth Naval's Bariatric Surgery program..
