Got my first fill!!
on October 30, 2009 12:08 am
Well Yesterday was my first fill. This was weird the port thing, but not too painful. Doctor put in 3.5 cc first and NO!! Water would not go down too well, so she pulled out .5 cc and water went down. So, I feel tight, liquids fill me up FAST! I didn't have any weight loss, but the doctor said its because I am exercising so much. Got tone and muscle but i have lost inches. Wow..this morning I put on business slacks and they looked so stupid on me, baggy so those are going to charity. I have bags full of clothes I need to throw out now. That is amazing..yippie!! Got my Yoli shipment and felt more hydrated since its a new wonderful vitamin drink and a way to get electrolyes and vit c. If your interested on this info and want to become a distributor, message me, or goggle h2o blast caps and you'll find it.

2 weeks out & feeling good!
on October 23, 2009 11:26 pm
Well I am a few weeks out and just started mushy food, like tuna, puree everything! I love my band! I can already see a difference, probably from the liquid part. At times I felt parched and dehydrated too..but I have to share something with all of you and its something I considered becoming involved with and can happily say I HAVE..This has to do with this subject that I saw on this site...

Hydration and Fluid Options after Bariatric Surgery

I encourage banders and RNY pre/post to check this product out, it will change the beverage industry forever in how we get our supplements in water. NO PRESERVATIVES, NO CHEMICALS & NO SUGAR..10 CALORIES FOR ONE WHOLE CAP.
This is better for you then Vitamin water that lacks its full potential because it sits in water and becomes ineffective or the energy drinks that contain so much sugar and chemicals. Their making a Baby Blast just for infants too.

This is a nutritional yummy tasting beverage that blasts your essential vitamins and minerals into your bottle of water just before you drink it. Assuring you the freshest and most potent of ingredients every time you blast!
nutrition at the peak of ripeness and freeze drying it into powder. This process ensures that the Vitamins & Minerals are fresh!  Yoli then packs this potent freeze-dried powder into the Blast Cap, the most unique beverage delivery system on earth. Just Blast it into your own Yoli bottle of water, shake, drink and enjoy! They taste delicious too!

Day 4 out from Surgery!
on October 10, 2009 7:41 am
Thank you my OH Family for all the support in my journey!!! You are all a blessing! Without this site and you all I don't know who I would have had to talk, vent and share with!!!

I am doing well, I have days that discomfort was there. I walk and sip and rest. My doctor glued all my incisions so theres no staples or sutures to remove. My first doctor appointment is on Oct. 27th, I think he makes it that far out so to also give me my first fills. I was told to stay on the liquid diet UNTIL my first appointment. But if he does give me a fill, then I'll be right back on liquids again. I don't get it. I think the fills are based on how much weight is lost in that period. So I guess we'll see.

I can take in 2 oz of protein at a time, sipping. 4oz of soup in a 45 min to 1 hour period. Sipping water all day. The gas is so annoying. When the pains or discomfort are felt I walk...and usually that jars it loose..LOL...

This has been an interesting journey so far and I can't wait to see the results. In the future, I think all of us who have come together here at OH should one day meet up somewhere neutral and meet and get together and share our new found lives!

Much Aloha to everyone,
~Debbie

2 DAYS OUT FROM SURGERY!!
on October 8, 2009 9:22 am
Well today is day 2. I got home yesterday, 1 nite in the hospital. The staff on the surgery ward were wonderful at St. Josephs Hospital in Burbank..special Kudo's to Annie my Nurse..she was the greatest!!! I spoke with Deanna on OH over the phone last nite. I am so happy shes doing great too. She was an inspiration for me and my Angel! Bless you Deanna!!!
Well I am getting some protein down..I can consume about 4-6 oz of fluids. I haven't tried pudding yet..kinda afraid to yet..I want to heal well and don't want to push it, the doctors said i could go back to creamy soups like i was before surgery, that liquid diet so I am doing well. Day 2 I felt alot of gas pains but not too bad. I belch occassionally and think I will do well. The port site is tender as well as the area's cut for the instruments, but all in all it is not a severe surgery..its a skate in the park! Just got to get past the gasy part..OUCH!

48 hrs til Surgery!!!
on October 4, 2009 12:44 pm
I just entered the Magnesium Citrate stage of cleansing! Didn't taste too bad lemony bubbly water...now the hard part begins after 12 days of liquid diet..only clear liquids now! I have lost some weight from this liquid diet and I won't know what I've lost total til I'm at the hospital on Tuesday morning...oh I am so excited and yet scared at the same time. I'm not afraid of the surgery. Its the sipping and eating small bits and chewing that scares me..I hope I can really eat slow and sip small amounts.

Well so far the journey has been interesting as far as you choices in foods on the liquid diet at least I got to eat cream soups to fill me up at meal times. I am so happy right now...its all surreal that its finally happening.

Well...This may be my last post til after surgery!!!!
