Dr. Streeter is very nice & straight to the point. Everyone I have encountered at his office thus far have been really nice. I was given a great informational sheet outlining everything that I will need to do prior to surgery. So far, so good!!rnrnDr. Streeter did an excellent job on my surgery and told me my case couldn't have gone any better!! as I said before, he is nice, straight forward & a great surgeon!!

What's next?

So I called my surgeon's office the other day & told the nurse I had enough.  I vomited 6 times in one day and have spent everyday since vomiting at least once.  So she sets me up to talk with Dr. S and says she will let him know whats up.  I get a call a few hourse later that they actually want me to meet with the head surgeon Dr. K and he will decide if I am a candidate for removal or to convert to the RNY.....I am like WTF??!!  I don't want the RNY!  If  wanted that I would have had it in the first place.  But I still make the appt. for the next day and tell my husband to come with me because from everything I heard Dr. K is a wonderful surgeon, but can be a little rough to deal with.  So I can barely sleep, keep wondering what will be said, will I have to put my foot down?  Who knows!  Well we go see Dr. K & he was extremely nice!!  All that worry for what?  He does however have a piece of paper that says I want to discuss converting to RNY!!??? Are you shitting me?  So I tell him I'm confused cuz I never said that and he apologizes and things Dr. S. might just be getting frustrated.  I'm like yeah, I know the feeling! So I give him a quick rundown of the bazillion tests, the extreme pain & vomiting and how I am at wits end.  He says ok well your last barium swallow was in July let's just re-do it to see if anything has changed, or if the band slipped.  He also said he can take the fluid out, but would rather wait until after the test so he can see what exactly is happening.  He asks if I can at least get fluids down and I say yes, so he is good with waiting.  He said well let me be a second set of eyes see if there is anything going on we missed and then make a decision together.  He said I am soliciting band to RNY patients BUT I can tell you are not at that point yet and it is a decision not to be made lightly.  He said that is something we would have to mutually agree on.  Yeah ok, I'm all set there.  So Friday the 25th I will undergo my 5th barium swallow....Wish me luck! LOL
