Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I am a fighter, I have overcome many obstacles in my life but weight was something that I just could not conquer!! I have had weight issues my WHOLE life! I remember being teased as a kid, an adolescent and as a young adult. I had been on so many diets I cannot recall them all....I remember being on WW when I was 15. When it came time for my junior prom I asked my friend who had just been dumped by his former girlfriend. I told him we could go as "just friends". We did go, but he was staring at her all night while completely ignoring me!! Senior prom I went stag, yet again, another part of being overweight. I went to college and it was more of the same. No boyfriends, no guys even remotely interested in me. So, I used food to comfort. I...
