Raymond L. Drew M.D.
Dr. Drew was great. I met him for the first time at my consultation and he was very informative, if a little dry. When I saw him again in the hospital he was more friendly and made me feel at ease. I felt like I was in good hands with him. However, neither he nor his office staff will hold your hand through the process. They give you good information, but at times I felt unsure or confused about what I needed to do.

Approval!

Yesterday I got a call from Mpls. Bariatrics that I was approved for surgery with Dr. Drew.  Yay!  I will meet with him on December 12.  I told Brian he needs to attend, too, so he can hear what the surgeon has to say. 

Today I told my boss and many of my work group about the surgery.  They were basically all supportive although Nathan seemed to react a little oddly.  I am so sensitive these days, so it might be just my imagination.  I'm scared that they won't want to be my friend anymore or something like that.

I had a Diet Coke today to celebrate since I've basically given up soda.  Now I have to give up caffeine and I know that's going to hurt.
