Surgeon Testimonial

Bruce Schirmer M.D.
Dr Schirmer was very kind and supportive, seems to be very knowledgable, has been doing surgery over 23 yrs..made me feel comfortable in his capable hands. Answers all questions in a quiet direct manner that is really understandable and is honest about risks associated with surgery.

Well, I survived my surgery, although I wondered whether or not I was going to for the first 6 weeks. I had terrible pain in my left side which all but kept me in the bed, walking was nearly impossible. But after the 6th week it mysteriously dissapeared, and I slowly began to get back into the swing of things. AT 3 mths. out I am down 46lbs. whoo hoo!! I know others who had the surgery the same time as I did that have lost 60, but I quess with my troubles in the beginning, I got a slow start. I however, am very happy with my loss and as long as it continues I will be content to be the slow turtle that wins the race. I also have heard that it is better for your skin tone not to lose too much too fast  as well. I have somewhat of a problem getting in my protein, but I struggle to do what I have to do. I know how important it is and must find a way to make it a priority.
