I had weight loss surgery with Dr. Lisa Pompa through a company in Saskatoon called Weight Loss Forever.  I had problems with my surgery right from the beginning and when I contacted Weight Loss Forever although they promised all this support I did not get it.  I then tried contacting Dr. Lisa Pompa herself and she would not return my calls.  I had to do some research and find a different doctor to help me.  I will be having my Gastric Sleeve corrected this year (2012) by another surgeon which I will once again have to pay for.  Is that fair probably not but when your surgeon doesn't have the compassion to help you when things go wrong you have to seek assistance somewhere else.  Upon having a floroscopy of my sleeve we see that Dr. Lisa Pompa left a large part of stomach at the top and made it more like a funnel at the bottom.  First I had a hard time eating solid foods because of the small opening at the bottom of my stomach and now we find I can eat a lot more than I should be able to and have started to gain weight.  It is because of the full stomach at the top being left in tact.   The good thing is it can be resolved although it is going to now cost a lot more money again.  What can one do when Dr. Pompa won't return a persons calls or care enough to correct her error.  I do not recommend this surgeon to anyone.  I guess the bottom line is be sure to check your sugeon before you book.
