Hey Everyone. It has been a very long time sense I last updated.  I am almost 2 and a half years post-op and my life has changed so much.  I reached my size goal (11/12) in March 2009.  My weight has fluctuated but I have managed to stay in the same size.  I reached my lowest weight of 144 last spring but did not do it the "right way." I was very unhealthy.  I do not want to be that low again but am very frustrated with my current weight.  Currently I am around 172.  I would like to lose about 15 lbs before my wedding.  Im engaged to a wonderful man named Jeremey Escobar who is a 5 star chef(haha)  He proposed on Christmas eve and Our wedding date is set for June 4th(:(:(: Please wish me luck while i hop back on the weight loss wagon.

Now Post-Op
on December 12, 2007 6:39 pm

I know its been awhile...I wasnt able to log-in to OH on my old computer.  Im 11 days post op now and I feel good.  I havnt had any pain sense 5 days post op.  My surgery was a text book procedure according to Dr. Warnock.  The only complication I had is that I was givin morphine, which I'm allergic to and was realy itchy.  At my 1 week post-op appt. I was down 8 pounds so thats minus 18 pounds from my highest weight.   How exciting!!!

My profile was a little stale so I decided to do the whole thing over again.  I havnt updated in a year so theres a bit to catch up on.  In april 2007 I requested that my pcp Dr. Beauchamp write me a referal to have wls but he refused at the time because he wanted to run tests to make sure my thyroid is normal and that I dont hav pcos.  I had the test done but i waited on mu follow-up appointment becaue I went to florida to visit with family for a few monthes.  When I returned i imediately made an appointment to see beauchamp.  All the tests came bak normal so he put in the refurral.  I met my soon-to-be surgeion Dr warnock for an initial consult on Oct. 9.  He seems like a good doctor, hes been doing wls for 25 years and his fatalities are.01% but he only does open rny.  Im realy concerned about the pain during recovery but after consitering this the pros out-weight the cons...I know Im meant to have this surgery and I've wanted it for myself for a long time.  So I said open is fine with me...I learned of my approval on Friday Oct 29.  I set my surgery date for Nov 30, 2007 Yayyy!!!   Im still in disbeleif and I probably wont be able to grasp it until im at the hospital.  It seems too easy to be real...after hearing all the horror stories and stress, I was not expecting this...  I start my liquid protien diet on Nov 20...Im even evcited about that too...
