I would recommend Dr. Pitt to anyone who's thinking about a surgeon.He treated me with respect and very caring.I could never ask for a finer Dr. than him.His staff was very nice also.He has a good after care program also.However I was unable to go for my year checkup.I got a letter not long ago asking how I was doing.And to setup an appointment for a checkup.I thougth that was pretty nice.I live 250 miles from Columbia so I was kinda hard to keep all my appointments.But I've done real good.He never pulled any punchs about what the surgery would be like.He was very straight forward.I was able to have my Rny by Laproscopy.So I done ok.Thank's again to a good an caring Dr.And a wonderful hospital.

My Story

            Hi, I started my trip to surgery about 3 yrs ago.The first year was bad for me.I had tried the Dr. and hospital in Kansas City,Mo.I went sent my papers waited for a call.Never got one.I called them after the trip up there and all the paper work  they said I  didn;t quifily.Because I didn't live in a certain county,after they had told me I did.Very aggrovated.So I gave up.

              Well 6 month's later I thought I'd do more checking.I came to Obesity.com, I started checking out Doctors.I found one who at that time took Mo Medicaid and Medicare.I made my first appointment with Dr. James Pitt.When to meeting got paper work done.Started my journey.I tried to wait for lap-band to past Medicare.After 6mo's waiting I called and ask about RNY.They set me up for surgery the next month cause I'd done all my testing.I had Rny 7/20/05.I couldn't have ask for a better Dr. or Hospital than Boone County Hospital in Columbia.I've lost 130lbs.My weight has come off slow,but Thank God I'm not where I was.

             I feel better than I have in years.I now go places without fear off embarassment.I can go in an set down in chairs I was afraid to before.I have regained myself.I never liked what I had become.But that's in the past now.I still need to lose more,but I can and will now.Before I couldn't have.If your thinking about surgery please do a lot of research to make sure of what you want done.And do it for YOU no one else.
