Surgeon Testimonial

Peter Lalor
I've liked Dr Lalor since the day I met him. He is easy to joke with and has a smile on his face most of the time. His office staff seems very friendly and were very willing to help me make it through the before surgery process. Dr Lalor thoroughly explained the risks of surgery and was more than willing to answer any questions that I had. He will tell you exactly how things are. If you are looking for someone that is going to tell you only what you want to hear, it's not him. While in the hospital, he was there to see me every morning. I would recommend Dr Lalor to anyone considering bariatric surgery.

Well it's been 14 months and i'm down about 140 lbs. I feel great but I still have some work to do. I need to crack the whip and exercise more! It's so hard to stay motivated. I think I would be happy if I could lose another 25 lbs or so. I know it's not out of reach, so I need to buckle down!

Hellooooo! It's been awhile. Things are going good on my end. I'm not having any stomach issues. Sugar doesn't bother me so no dumping syndrome. I am down 104 lbs so far and I feel great. I am having A LOT of hair loss. It sucks. I am really funny about my hair and i'm hoping that I don't end up bald! Other than that, things are great!

Well I havent been around in awhile but I figured I'd give a little update. My surgery was December 28th and I've lost 90lbs!!!! It's getting so exciting. I am down two pant sizes. I feel pretty good most of the time. Never really have any issues. I've thrown up twice since surgery because something didn't agree with me but other than that everything is good. I hope everyone else is doing well!

I feel like shit!
on January 18, 2010 12:07 pm
So the last week and a half have been dreadful. I feel so shitty. First I was so tired I didnt want to move, now i'm so sick to my stomach the last 3 days I'm not eating. I have dry heaved a few times. The look and smell of food makes me want to barf and I just have a sick feeling in my stomach. Does anyone else feel like this? I just feel like i'm probably getting depressed. I want things to be how they were before. I'm thinking of all these good foods and drinks that I used to be able to have. My clothes are starting to fall off me and I'm not even excited. I am just so blah right now. All I want is to feel better :(

2 week post op appointment
on January 14, 2010 10:22 am
Went for my 2 week post op appt today. I'm down 39 lbs all together. While i'm glad, i've been so fatigued that I havent wanted to move. The doc says this is completely normal for some people and that I need to get up and get moving and hopefully by upping my protein and starting my vitamins i'll feel better in no time. I sure hope so, i'm so sick of being TIRED. I've had no problems with my food settling. I'm in my phase 3 diet where I can have eggs, cottage cheese, potatoes, mushed up veggies, tuna, chicken salads. It's nice to be moving up in the world. Now if I could just get enough water in. Blah.

My Story

Before WLS, I find myself living life the "have to" way...I do what I CAN because I have to.  After WLS, I will live the "want to" way.  I'll do what I want to...BECAUSE I CAN!
