To kick the scale or hug the scale.
on November 15, 2009 9:06 am
So....I got on the scale this morning and I am 1/2 a pound away from being under 300 lbs for the first time in almost 10 years. Seeing this was both exciting and frustrating. It was also a little scary. Of course it was exciting to be so close and know I could wake up tomorrow under 300. It was frustrating that it wasn't today and I was so very close. It is scary because I've had this fear from the beginning that I would lose 100 lbs and then totally sabotage myself. Once I hit 300 lbs I'll have 10 lbs left to losing 100 lbs. That's a big mark. It's great to have come so far but kind of sucks that there's still so far to go. How do I celebrate the victory when the finish line seems so far away? There's also some kicking myself. How did I let myself get so out of control? Why couldn't I do something about it sooner?

I always try to keep a positive attitude but sometimes it's really hard.

and man I want some Coldstone! LOL

Boring mellow day
on November 14, 2009 11:40 am
Yup, I'm doing mostly nothing. I did, however, eat real food. YAY!!!! It was egg salad which was waaay better than broth...lol I'm feeling pretty good. The fill doesn't seem to be giving me any issues as of yet. I'm kind of relieved about that.

On an ew that sucks note, my kitten has worms so had to go buy meds for that. Bleh. Hopefully that took care of it though.

First fill
on November 12, 2009 3:09 pm
I finally had my first fill today. I had my surgery back in May. I expected it to hurt or be sore but it's not. YAY!! I am, however, totally hungry. My doc said clear liquids today and tomorrow. I might die! LOL

OMG...Day 2 and I'm kinda hungry. At least the raging headache I had yesterday is mostly gone.

My Story

My story... I was going to say I didn't really have one but I guess that isn't true or I wouldn't be here right? I suppose instead I'll say I have a hard time sharing...lol

For the basics (as they apply) ... I had my surgery (Realize band) on May 15th, 2009. I started losing some weight before that and there is now about 83 lbs less of me. I lost an anorexic person! Woo hoo!!

I look forward to the support from people who get it. :)

As for me, well I'm 34 and married to a mostly great guy who is in the Navy. We're currently in Jax, Fl but we're moving to Connecticut in a few months.

My passion is performing. I've done some theater and lots of singing. I hope to do more of it now as I get more comfortable with myself again.

I am also a pretty open person so if there's something you really want to know just ask!
