Merry Christmas!
on December 15, 2008 9:19 am
Merry Christmas Everyone! I am now almost 5 months out and feeling great. I haven't posted any videos lately because I've become boring! ha! Nothing has really changed lately. My weight loss has slowed, but still am losing. I'm down now a total of 137LBS from my highest weight. It's funny because I am getting comments about how different I look, and yes still get that comment "wow, you don't look as tired" whatever THAT means! But I still feel I look like I'm 400lbs again. I know I'm not because of the smaller clothes but still. I'm hoping that I will adjust in that aspect soon. I do notice I'm more social. I've gone out with friends from work several times now, and in the past I've avoided it because I felt uncomfortable and awkward. I'm so glad I had this surgery...not only for my health but for everyone who knows me. It's strange how much you can inspire people by doing something good for yourself. My family eats different, people I work with do the same because of me. It's almost 2009 and I believe I will reach my goal...Of making 2008 my year...Change my life and the lives of people around me. Merry christmas Everyone and happy 2009!!

My Story

Well being over weight all of my life, I am looking for Gastric Bypass surgery to help me lose weight once and for all. I've tried everything in the past from Weight Watchers, Alli, Slim-Fast, High Protein, you name it really. I have always managed to lose the weight, but end up gaining it back and then some! HOW FLUSTRATING! My turning point has to be when I let food take over my life. It is so hard for me to do normal things like walk, work on my feet, even sleep! i have to change my life, and soon. One of the best quotes I have heard and really helps me is "It is time for me to learn to eat to live, instead of living to eat."   I honestly feel trapped in my body because I'm a very active person. I love to travel, go for walks, shopping, going to social events, but now days at my highest weight. I just want to stay home and avoid all contact. That is why now, 2008 is going to be MY year. I am going to do what I have to do to change my life. Look out, here comes the new DAVID!!
