Surgeon Testimonial

Peter C. LePort M.D.
First impression of Dr LePort was good, he seemed like a person who cares about his patients.
My impression never changed, his office staff are pleasant and caring.
He has many year of expeirence as by researching you will find out for youself.
He addresses all areas and risks of surgery and explains everything involved.
Dr LePort was great, after surgery and during the time I was in ICU he came to see me 5 times and explained what was going on with me body.

Disability

Only 3 more days before I am back to work, at first I was bored staying at home but after a few weeks of rest and relaxation I began to enjoy the time I had off. I can't believe I am going back to work on Monday.
I am 8 weeks post op and have lost 26 lbs since surgery, weight loss appears to be slower then I anticipated but I am happy to be losing weight.

Since spaining my foot a few weeks ago I  have not excercised
, my foot is still healing and while walking i am still experiencing pain. Hopefully I will be able to excercise in another 2 weeks, plus now that I will be back at work I plan on joining the gym at the office.

on July 10, 2008 6:15 pm
First appointment with my primary care doctor since surgery. Received results of blood tests. Doctor was amazed that my AlC dropped from 8.1 to 4.7 I no longer am a diabetic, also my cholesterol dropped from 190 to 165 and my fatter liver dropped in half. I am excited that this surgery has already caused benefits for my health.

accident
on July 9, 2008 11:47 am
While taking my evening walk around the neighborhood with the dogs I trip over a big rock and fell and scraped my right knee, hurt my right arm and injured my left foot. after falling I continued walking for 35 minutes and once I returned home cleaned up my knee and iced my foot.  Well, I woke up this morning around 5 to go to the bathroom and was unable to put any pressur on my left foot.  I am now hopping around from my bed to the bathroom and feel throbbing. Waiting for the doctor to call me to let me know what kind of medication I can take.  There goes walking everyday for a while.

Difficult time
on July 7, 2008 7:47 am
Getting bored on the stage 2 diet plan, I am so sick of having pudding, yogurt and other soft food items, want to eat veggies and chicken now. I never expected to have these feelings at this time.
