Timing.... is everything. Things are good, overall- but not without challenges. I am absolutely amazed by how my appetite has diminished since surgery. I no longer wake up in the morning obsessed with what I'm going to eat. I've felt new freedom from this. However, I NEED to think about food for the day... AND vitamins for the day. If I don't- I'm in trouble. A couple of days I didn't start eating until 11:00 am and it affected my energy levels. I felt bad the entire day. I'm on soft foods so I must wait at least 30 minutes after my meal to drink water. Getting water in... getting vitamins in... getting tiny meals in and protein supplements to meet my goals... takes planning and thought. I haven't gotten sick yet from eating too much- but I've come close. Eating SLOWLY is more important than ever. I'm determined to do this right. I'm working towards getting into a routine.
