I have been overweight for as long as I can remember.  At the age of 46 I decided I had enough - Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholestoral, miserable about how I looked and how I felt, taking a billion pills and shots every day.  I made the decision in the summer of 2011 to look into Gastric Bypass.  I went to the Advanced Weight Loss Center in Clinton, NJ to attend the session, was so impressed with the surgeon that I booked an appointment that day for a follow-up.  It's been a long journey since that day in the summer but I am so much happer now.  I went into the hospital on a Thursday and came out Saturday with NO Diabetes or High Blood Pressure - my first panel of blood work a month later showed NO High Cholestoral either.  I am just a little over 2 months out now and have lost 43 pounds - I take it 10 pounds at a time - every achievement is celebrated and I am a much better person for it.
