My name is Chandler Adkins and I am 19 years old. I live in a household of seven and am currently in a relationship with a beautiful and wonderful woman who just recently received the Sleeve. She has lost over sixty pounds in two months and in support of her, I am beginning to loose weight myself as I am extremely obese for my height and age.

My Story

I can't remember a time when I wasn't a large individual. I have always been a little overweight but it seemed to me that it was around Junior High that really was my breaking point. I am a stress eater and that was what I began to do because of all the emotional problems I was going through. Not only was I struggling with my weight and appearance, I was struggling to find myself.

I am a FtM (Female to Male) Transgender and have been passing for about six months. Ever since coming into myself, I've been trying to work as hard as I can to get in shape and get healthier, not just for me, but for my girlfriend as well. My girlfriend recently (within the last two months) received the Sleeve and has been loosing weight fantastically. She is already down 60 pounds and I am extremely happy for her. If there is anything I can do to show her I support her, it is to loose weight WITH her.

Within two months, I have gone down from my original weight of 255 to 242. I want to loose at lease 62 pounds within a year, if not more. I hope not to have to result in any weight loss surgery but should the need arise, I know that I will be able to do it.
