John Mecenas
First overall impression that I noticed was he had a very kind face. He seemed and projected concern and compassion. You can see all of that in his office staff as well. I have never felt so at ease in my life in a Dr's office. I have many appointments to go and I loved the way they work things here. It is not all rush, rush. It is easy going and you get a lot of knowledge on the surgery you are having. Follow up is stressed and I LOVED that. Overall I give him a 10. I have not had my surgery as of yet but I have NO doubt that the care I will recieve will be nothing but the best.

I am officially a LOSER!!!  I had a good surgery...no problems.  I was let out of the hospital the next day.  The staff was amazing...took great care of me.  I am so blessed!  I am sipping and doing good! Will update later.  I am going to rest some.

One more day!!!!

This is it.  Tomorrow i am going to have my surgery.  I have not told many people at all.  A few family members and that is about it.  All of you know of course but this is something I wanted to keep sacred.  I feel so good knowing I am changing my life for me.  Not for anyone but me.  My family will reap the benifits of this but I had to make this choice for me.  I cannot wait to be able to play long and hard with my kids and feel fit!

This is it! I close my eyes tonight and tomorrow my new life begins! Thank you God!

ONE WEEK LEFT!

Well today I had to see Dr M's PA...got my last little physical.  Lost 7 pounds in a week!! YAHOO!  Then I went to the hospital to register.  Got my EKG, Chest x-ray and blood work done.  I am set to go on the 24th at 9:15! OMGOSH! One week from today I will be banded!!!!!!

Oh Happy Day!

I have started the two week diet   I am on day SEVEN!  I am feeling mighty good, lol  I have had some major enery...it seems to just hit me and I am on the go and move and it is making some people crazy, lol  During this week on just liquids and salads no dressing I am finding I love the food.  I love the taste of ffreshness.  I have adapted to the shakes and I am getting full after just a little bit. My family is a blessing and everyone is so encouraging! One of my seven kiddos had a birthday during this past 7 days and I made a reallllly thick protien shake and ate it in my cup with a spoon and did not have a break down over missing a cake.  Then a big family get together at Ponderosa....I ate salad andbrought my lime juice & lime pepper and enjoyed!  I am findingthat it is not about food! It is about fellowshipping with others...living life and loving life.  Eating food to stay a live not living for food and taking the next bite.  I feel so empowered over my realizations.  I am enjoying this time getting to know myself!!
