Surgeon Testimonial

Gordon Wisbach
I Was So Thankful To Have Dr. Wisbach As My Surgeon. He Was On Of The Best At The Hospital And He Came To Check On Me Several Times During My Stay In The Hospital. I Have Nothing Bad To Say About Him And He Was Very Informative.

Sorry I Haven't Updated In A While :(
on April 10, 2010 12:15 pm
Hey Everyone! Just Thought I Would Let You All Know That I Am Doing Very Well With My Weight Loss, I Am Now Down To 239 Lbs!  I Am So Excited That I have lost So Much Weight So Quickly, But I Have Been Trying To Stick To Doing The Right Things And It Is Paying Off, I Do Sometimes Stall On My Weight Loss For A While, But It Eventually Kicks Back Up. I Will Be Putting Up Some New Pics Pretty Soon. I Will Make Sure To Put Up Some Of Myself In The Dress I Wore To My Husbands Ball In November So You All Can See How Big It Is On Me Now. Hope Everyone Is Doing Well

I Am Now 3 Days Post Op
on January 7, 2010 12:13 pm
Well, My Time Finally Came! Yay! I Can Tell You That I Had To Be At The Hospital At 5:30am  I Was So Tired And Didn't Get Much Sleep The Night Before Because Of The Anticipation, But The Closer I Got To My OR Bed, The More Nervous I Was Becoming. By The Time I Finished Receiving All Of The Information About What Would Happen My Eyes Welled Up With Tears. They Got My IV Started And Gave Me Some Medication Directly Into My IV Site. Then The Anesthesiologist Takes It Upon Himself To Tell Me That It's The Same Medication That Michael Jackson Was Getting  I'm Thinking (Great Now I'm Getting It) . Then They Rolled Me Into The OR Room And I Drifted Off  All I Remember After That Was Being Transferred Into The Recovery Room And Being In Pain That Morphine Alone Was Not Helping  Then They Gave Me Another Pain Medication And I Was Feeling Great!

Well Ladies I Finally Got My Surgery Date! Woo Hoo!    I Was Really Hoping To Have My Surgery Done This Month But The OR Space Is Very Limited Between November And December So I Will Happily Settle For January 4, 2010! It's A Great Way To Start A New Year I Think...So Wish Me Luck And Wish You All The Same!

6 Month Healthy Weight Program
on July 10, 2009 1:57 pm
So I Have Completed A Fairly Good Amount Of My Pre-Op Requirements  Since Meeting With Dr. Bertucci On June 23rd. It Was A Little Irritating Because I Had To Start My Process All Over, Reason Being That My Insurance Approved Me To Go To Another Hospital However When It Would Have Come To Me Actually Getting The Surgery, They Would Have Denied My Surgery Crazy Right?? So Thanks Chris For Letting Me Know Ahead Of Time! I Have Went To See The Psychologist And He Says I'm Good To Go, I Have Lost 6lbs,  And I Have To Lose Anywhere Between 10-30lbs, I Have Met With The Nutritionist, Had A Chest X-Ray, Upper GI  And Started An Exercise Program.  I've Got The Ball Going! Now I Just Need To Stay Focused...

Change Of Plans
on June 15, 2009 3:04 pm
Hello OH, I Had Had A Change Of Plans...I Have Changed My Hospital From UCSD To Balboa Naval Medical Center. My Reason For This Is Because I Have Found Out That I More Than Likely Will Have My Surgery Approved By My Insurance If I Have It Done At A Military Hospital.  So I Called This Morning To Have My Referral Switched. This Is A Little Stressful And Time Consuming  Knowing That I was So Close, But It Is Time Well Spent Because In The End I Will Be A Much Healthier Me!

My Story

Hey Everyone, My Name Is Chelley And I Am 23 Years Old. I Am A Marine Wife And I Don't Have Any Children Yet. I Am Trying To Get My Health Under Control First!  I Was Also Diagnosed With PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome), So I Am Hoping That Having WLS Helps Me With The Symptoms Or Getting Rid Of It Completely. I Started To Become Over Weight When I Hit Puberty. I Have Tried A Lot Of Different Weight Loss Diets, Products And All That. Nothing Has A Lasting Effect And So Now I Am Looking To Have The VSG Done.
