December 26th 2009 I will be 10 Months Out! on December 19, 2009 7:04 am
Hey OH Fam/Friends, Just wanted to update everyone on my progress and whats been going on in my life! I started School in Sept of this year, and let me tell you with two little ones at home, being a single mom maintaining a household, and studying full time @ the College, is exhausting! I have been so busy the last few months, i truly apologize for not blogging soon.
I'm doing great, I recently celebrated my 24th Birthday, and I feel so blessed to have seen 24 years, and to be given a second chance on life.
I wont mess this up EVER! I have cheated once....and Il admit it..., on Halloween i had a few bite size Aero bars, and realized what i was doing (going back to bad habits, what got me into this mess in the first place) and never touched another one since! I have a weak spot for Baked Chips at times, but overall I follow the diet to a tee, and I am doing tremendously well...I worked so hard to have this surgery and to be where I am today, so there's going back for me...
Ive lost a total of 120 Pounds as of today! I currently weigh 122 pounds...
This will be my first Christmas after RNY and to be honest I don't miss my sweets a bit.. I found some amazing Protein Bars at Walmart in Michigan they are the Atkins Protein Bars and they are to die for, even with sugar alochols and natural sugars a bar doesn't contain more then 5 grams of sugar. They taste just like a Chocolate Bar too, so its good whenever I have a Sweet Tooth!
Just wanted to do a quick update, hope everyone is doing well, and they have a great Holiday and Merry Christmas!

October 26 I will be 8 months out! on October 6, 2009 11:17 am
Just wanted to update all my OH friends on my progress...I'm currently down to 135 pounds, a total weight loss of 106 pounds. A size 7/8 & 9/10 Jeans! Depending on where they r bought! I feel absolutely amazing, I can't complain one bit, the only thing I am finding is that I get an upset stomach almost after every meal, it eases up with some Tums or Rolaids...
I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal of 130!
I'm in School Full time right now and my Course load is heavy! Having two little ones, keeping up with housework, a household, and keeping the family together has been very challenging! I wish I had more time to spend with the kids but I know that this is in Our best interests.
The Canadian Thanksgiving is coming up on October 12th and I just want to wish all my OH friends a Happy Turkey Day! I'm truly blessed and thankful for the opportunity to change my life and health, this surgery has given me so many opportunities, so many happy moments, and such a happier more fulfilling life. I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends, and I couldn't ask for anything else.
Love,
Chelsea

Its Official No longer Plus Size Clothing. Size 13 baby! on August 7, 2009 5:10 pm
So excited, like my last post said that the day I fit into regular clothing its going to be a hugeee goal!
Ive done it, I went into the "Skinny Bitch Store" LMAO as I used to call it because I never could fit into anything in there, and bought a pair of size 13 Capris, and a size large top! and they both fit great!
This is amazing I love it, I havent been this happy in a long time, I think with the weight coming off and my new relationship I couldnt be happier.
All is well though down to 154 pounds! Hoping all is well with everyone, and everyones weight loss is going well...I will update you all soon.

On June 26, was 4 Months Out from Surgery! on July 3, 2009 5:56 am
Just thought I'd post my progress so far...Im down to 167 pounds and only 37 pounds to goal! Its the best feeling ever, I have to tell you, I cant begin to tell you how it feels to be able to just buy clothes off the rack and now its going to look cute! lol I have a shopping fetish now lol and its oh so bad! LOL
My best Friend lives in Detroit though, and the price of clothing is so much cheapier there so Im not complaining....
I tried on a 13, and maybe 5 more pounds and those babies are gonna fit! lol this was one of my big goals because I wanted to be able to shop in stores like Urban Planet, Urban Behaviour, Stiches & Suzy Shier and fit into their clothing! I never was able to do that so when that happens I think thats going to be a big hurdle I went over.
My long term goal is to be close to goal or at goal by Christmas. With only 37 pounds to go, I think that its a pretty realistic goal....
I hope everyone Post-Op and Pre-Op are doing great, this is a wonderful Journey and am Happy to be sharing it with you all

My Story My names Chelsea but most of my family friends call me "Chels." I'm 24 years old, and mother to two beautiful children Jayden he's 7 years old, and Maya she's 2 1/2 years old. I'm a College Graduate and I am currently in School once again for Border Services (Immigration Officer).
I have been overweight pretty much my whole life, since the age of 9. In high school I was pushing a size 16, after I had my son at the age of 17 I was pushing a 18/20 pant. My heaviest weight was 238 and am currently 234 pounds...
I'm 5'2, and from what the surgeon said he'd like to see me between 115-130. I've been struggling with juvenile arthritis in the knees since the age of 10, backaches, & shortness of breath. Thank goodness I have no real health problems as diabetes, or anything YET. Dr. Nunn says I'm pretty healthy considering most of his patients.
My surgery took place February 26th 2009, I will be two years out very soon and I currently weigh 119 pounds. I feel great and so happy.
I am getting married August 20th 2011, and I am so happy. God is so good and I feel so blessed to have been able to have the opportunity to have RNY and have a second chance on life.
