Whew.  What a crazy 5 days!!!  My surgery was on the 22nd.  I stayed overnight in the hospital and left the next day.  I haven't really had the gas problem, and my biggest pain IN the hospital was the fact that my back was aching SO BAD from being on the stretcher during surgery.  My mom and aunts and cousins were with me and had me laughing, almost busting my incision but other than that, no pain really.  The hardest part of recovery right now are these DISGUSTING protein shakes!  I've have better luck with the Isopren because I can keep them cold, and even when they arent still icy, they are still tolerable.  I even went to the movies last night and I didnt feel too bad.  I had my treat of a cup of ice water, hahaha.  I am not hungry at all, but a cheeseburger still looks mighty delicious.  My aunt keeps reminding me, "a second on the lips, a lifetime on the lips", and I know, I really do, that it isnt worth it.  I can't wait until I am healthy, until I can cross my legs, until I can wear something that I REALLY want to wear.  I've always been an outspoken fun crazy person, but I long for the day when it isn't just a front, when it really is ME.
