woooohooooo The scale started moving again!

I'm so happy that the scale is starting to move again!! I hit a stall after my first month and felt so frustrated and dissapointed . I tought that after all the pain that was it only 30 pounds gone but I started drinking more water and the freaking scale moved 1 pound and the next day I drank even more ounces of water and i just noticed that it moved another pound. I'm so happy about that.

6 Days out of the hospital

I've been home for almost a week I just saw my surgeon yesterday and I went down 16.8 pounds as of yesterday. This morning I weight mysel and I lost 5 more pounds for a total of 21.6 since my surgery!!!! whooohoooo I have no infection and my incision looks better the only problem is that my hormones are driving me crazy  I keep on feeling blue all the time and I don't like it. Hoping that later on everything goes better. Thanks to all the people that don't forgot about me while I was in the hospital!! I'll update more later....

Back in the hospital

Yes I'm back in the hospital because my insicion got infected. I have pain and is really red. They just started me in antibiotics. It freaking bothers me that they can't get my vein for the stupid IV. I can't wait to get home!!! I miss my bed!

7 days out

Today is my 1 week anniversary and the day day that I started the second week. First day of soft foods!!!!! I ate 1 scrambled egg this morning and I was in heaven it tasted so good!  I can't  wait for my shrimps this afternoon mmmmmmmmmm. Anyway I've lost almost 11 pounds since my surgery and I'm so happy  and can't wait to get better and start exercise. I'll update more soon!

In the hospital

OMG this pain is so bad! this is the day after my surgery I just walked for the first time and I felt much better after my walk. Can't wait fo the pain to go completly. Tonight is the group support but I can't go. My friend is my roomate and she seems way better she's going to the support group. I'll update more later.

My Story

I've been overweight since i had my oldest daughter and I can't take it anymore. I want to be able to do things with my kids that i never been able to do before. I started doing research about WLS for about 5 yrs already . Tried to loose weight like many of other people but unable to keep it off .

My journey started in the last week of October when my friend told me about the surgeon ( she's going thru the same thing). I called the office and they gave me my first appt for November 12,2007 to see the surgeon and talk about the gastric bypass surgery. After they gave me the appt I called another office for the psych evaluation. She gave me the appt for November 7.

I went to all the appts and the support meetings made appts with the nutritionist . I'm almost done with the nutritionist appts my last requiered one is next month Feb 4, 2008.I called the office on friday and they told me that they're going to send my papers to the insurance to get the approval for the surgery and after they get it  they're going to call me with the surgery date.
