Alfred Schneider, M.D.
Dr. Schneider is a wonderful surgeon that I would recommend without hesitation. His demeanor is friendly and kind, but he is serious about what he does and what he expects from his patients.

Dr. Schneider conducts informational meetings with prospective patients and thoroughly explains all aspects of the surgery.

As far as I know, Dr. Schneider only performs RNY.

Two Months Out

APRIL 29, 2008
Today was my eight week check-up with Dr. Schneider and I'm happy to say that I've lost 43 pounds!  We discussed my aversion to eating and he asked that I add one snack during the day to increase my protein.  He also told me I could begin adding fresh fruit and veggies as tolerated.  The dietician said I should wait until 12 weeks, but I'm going with what the doctor says.  

I'm still having problems getting food down.  Two days ago I tried eating an egg again (this time hard-boiled and mashed up into egg salad) and I threw it up.  So that makes three times I've been sick on eggs - no more eggs for me.

Now I have to focus on establishing a regular exercise schedule.  I'm sure that will help my weight loss.  I just haven't been strict enough with myself.

But I'm very happy with the WLS results so far!
