Well I have 10 days till surgery. I am experiencing many different emotions right now and I am guessing that this is very normal. Since me and my husband have went on our required liquid diet we are hungry 90% of the time.  Time is going very fast now as my surgery day approaches. Today is my 50th birthday and tomorrow is my husband Tony's 37 birthday but sadly we are not celebrating them. We are however treating ourselves to a movie tonite at the drive in theater. The smell of popcorn will drive me crazy!!!  I have my preopp class next tuesday . Should be an interesting 3 hours and then after the class i meet with my surgeon one final time before my big day. I am so very greatful to my husband for all of his support and encouragement, it has been my saving grace!!  

 Well gettiing ready for my big day, i know its a ways off but in less than 2 weeks i have my scope test to do. I had a ulcer years and years ago so of course they want to make sure there is nothing there now. My 50th birthday is about a month away so this weight loss surgery will be my second birthday. They will be about 11 days apart. . No cake for me. Maybe I will  but a watermellon to look like a cake,,,lol   just a good but a whole lot less calories. One month from today I have my required 3 hour appointment to prepare for surgery,,there i meet with a special dietician and a pharmasist , then with my surgeo,. Opps I forgot the week before that appointment i see my regular md to get medical clearance for surgery. In the meantime i am getting the foods bought and stuff for hubby put in the freezer since i will not feel like cooking for awhile after surgery and i dont want my sweet man to starve,,lol. Still looking for a scale around here,, one that i dont have to send off for. I am finally starting to realize that this is really really going to happen for me.  I am not afraid at all yet but I am sure that will change as the day approaches. Nothing else going on in my life right now,,,oh,,,my grandbabies came home from the hospital yesterday. the are now 6 weeks old and doing great. What a blessing   In the meantime I am enjoying spring and trying not to watch the calendar too closely.  I said trying,,,lol  

 I am so excited. I finally have a surgery date set.  My life is set to change on May 29th. Unfortunately I found out that my knee is not fixable and that I will need a total knee replacement. That particular surgery will have to wait until later in july after I have lost some weight. I have to be down to 350 pounds to have my surgery so weight loss will be difficult since I cannot stand well or bend my knee any. Somehow I will have to make this work. In the meantime I have tests to get completed and classes to attend to get surgery ready. This has been one long journey.  Lots to do,,,,relieved to have my date set. Hurry up May and get here!!!

 Over the weekend i took another fall and injured my left knee. it needs surgery. Go figure. I have only bad luck lately. My knee has to get fixed first before my gastric bypass can happen. I have been so careful so everything would be a go if i ever got approved. I guess God must have a reason why i have to continue to wait to have my wl surgery. Pretty sure i wont have that surgery until late may or early june. The cards seem to be stacked against me. Darn!!! Only time will tell. 

 Yesterday I received another approval letter in the mail. This time it was for the correct surgery. I cried like a baby. Now I wait for the surgeons office to call me to set up my tests and surgery date. I so want to get this whole thing started so my weight loss can begin. Hard as i try i lose a pound or two and then its back. Maybe its water weight, not sure. I feel so restless waiting. Glad the weather is so nice. I can get out some and enjoy the sun and flowers.  I am hoping to hear something soon on a date. Thank goodness for this site. Its a great place to visit where everyone understands.
