Carlos A. Ferrari M.D. Dr. Ferrari and his staff and considered angels in my book. On my first consult he gave his recommendations of which procedure was best for me and expected time off from work and expected weight loss. I was given printed material that was very clear and easy to understand to follow my gastric bypass surgery. Blanca and the rest of his staff are so friendly and more than willing to help you with anything. I felt like I had known Dr. Ferrari forever when he came to see me in the hospital after the procedure was complete. He has excellent bedside manner and answers all of your questions and concerns. I developed a complication and he was right there at my side the whole time. I am in healthcare so I have higher expectations than most patients. I think Dr. Ferrari is top notch in my book! I am recommending him to all of my friends. Thank you Dr. Ferrari for all of your help.
I am proud to say I am down 83lbs. I was hoping I would be down 100 lbs by now but I have had a few stubbles in the path. I have gone from size 26 pants to size 12 and I know can fit in Medium shirts vs. 3X. I can safely go in a store and buy anything off the rack and just buy it without trying it on. My addiction to Sonic Unsweet Tea has cost me a really bad kidney infection this month. I have been sick for 1 week now and no improvement after being on my second antibiotic. My New Year's Resolution for the first time in my life this year was NOT TO LOSE WEIGHT! It actually is to try to work physical exercise into my daily routine. As soon as I get to feeling better I want to explore a Co-ed Soccer Team here locally. I have 67 more lbs to go to meet my goal weight of 120. I know I can make it. I need to increase my fruits and veggies and drink lots of water and workout workout workout. Alcohol makes me physically ill and it isnt worth the empty calories or the headaches from Hell. I would do this surgery all over again if I had to. I am so pleased with my progress and looking for to Plastic Surgery when I reach my goal.

Well it has been a quick 6 months. I have lost 53 lbs so far. I joined back at the gym on Feb. 20th and go to the gym 5 days a week. I have lost a total of 20.75 inches. 6 inches from my chest, 7inches from my waist, 4 inches in my hips, 2 inches in my neck, 0.5 inches in the last two weeks from each thigh and 0.75 inches in my left arm in the ast 2 weeks. I just recently started measuring my thighs and arms. I have added weight training 3 days a week with cardio 5 days a week. I no long am on high blood pressure medicine, no CPAP machine and my daughter says I don't snore. When I go out with friends men actually speak to me and make eye contact, ask me to dance and buy me drinks. I am loving how I feel and all of the attention. I will be posting new pictures tomorrow. I am all sweaty from my workout tonight. 97 more pounds to go!
I am down 4 dress sizes and 50 lbs. I have lost 1 inch in my neck, 6 inches in my waist, 3 inches in my hips and 6 inches in my bust. I no longer use my CPAP. My greatest challenge is drinking my water and exercising daily. My B12 was low so now I have to take sublingual twice daily.
I started putting on weight when I was 24. Up until that point I was always HWP. I struggled with my weight all my life but I just starved myself and exercised all the time and stayed at goal weight. I did get up to 168 lbs in college and went on diet pills and dropped down to 120 lbs. The moment I started on birth control pills here came the weight. I married at 24 weighing 175 and by age 26 I was pregnant with our first child and weighing 228 pre-pregnancy. The weight was just packing on me. I only gained 13 lbs with the pregnancy thank God but I was still overweight. I lost some after I went through a horrible divorce in 1991. I met my second husband and was weighing 205. I got pregnant 8 months after marriage (not planned by the way) and gained 16 lbs. I was up to 228 pre-pregnancy. See a pattern here? I divorced that asshole after 4 horrible years of marriage. Since then I have battled depression from being overweight and being alone with 2 kids raising them on my own.
I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist and was a director of the respiratory department in an area hospital. I got my lungs burned from an explosion after rescuing the man who caused the explosion and saving the patients. I ended up being hospitalized and was put in critical condition in ICU. I was on several rounds of steriods for my damaged lungs. They are permanently damaged by the way.At one point I was on continuous oxygen at home. Pretty ironic huh? I have been diagnosed with COPD and have developed Sleep Apnea because of the added weight. This has really hurt me psychologically. My top weight was 270 and a BMI 46.3. While working in Baytown, TX I met a girl that I worked with. She wore her name badge that looked nothing like her. In the picture she was my size but she is now a size 2. She was my inspiration. She guided me to Dr. Ferrari and was so supportive. I am determined to get this weight off, improve my health, give my kids a mother full of life and find love and happiness. So stay tuned and watch me shrink.
