One Year Surgiversary!!!!
Well, I made it.  I cannot believe how far I have come in a year.
HW- 250
CW- 128  (three pounds away from 1/2 my weight)
BMI- 20.7
I feel very healthy and great and enjoy life and all the activities that I am now comfortable participating in.  I have learned to take time for myself which is hard with 4 yr old triplets and 2 teenagers- but I am worth it and I deserve it.
I am actually enjoying my exercise and sleep much better when I do it.  I am not a daily gym rat- but a comfy exerciser for a 40 year old.  I may need to bump up my exercise in the future- we'll see.
I still struggle with food choices and quantities- I think I always will.  I need to eat protein early in the day, get my fluids in and eat more frequently throughout the day.
I have really struggled with what an appropriate goal weight should be.  As you can see in my avatar my face does not look drawn at all.  It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
I feel truly blessed.
Holly

CENTURY CLUB MEMBER!!!!
I have finally lost over 100 pounds and am in the 130's.  This will make this birthday so much easier to take.
I am worried about the amount and food choices I make.  I can eat anything and everything.  I have to be very careful.  I overdo my quantities frequently- and I think only exercise will keep me from gaining back the weight.  I could easily graze all day and gain it all back.
I am still thrilled with my surgery and would do it again in a heartbeat.  I just know that from here on out I will be working for every pound lost or maintained.
I appreciate the support that I have received from my fellow Jan RNY'ers and am glad that I got involved with them and the message board.
I am currently a size 8 bottom- can wear a few size 6's, and am still a large top.  My BMI is 22.

Well, it's been 5 months since surgery.  I am doing really well.  My days of having to force myself to eat are long gone and I have to be very careful because I can eat ANYTHING and in bigger portions than I ever thought possible.  I still struggle with not drinking and eating- I think that's the hardest.  My protein intake is pretty good and I will get my first set of labs back within the month.
I am down almost 90 pounds since surgery.  I have a normal BMI.  I am wearing mostly size 10 pants with some 12's.  My 42DD's are now 38C's.  My shirts are a large.
Other than my sagging arms and my triplet pouch I look okay with clothes on and I am no longer embarrassed of going places.  I can be active and still breathe.  I need to work on my exercise and this should get even better.
I am very happy with my results so far.

WOW!!!  It's been 3 months and I'm at a 70 pound loss.  I can't believe it.  I look sooo different and i'm actually starting to care about myself again.
I did a yoga tape today with the triplets- they actually make me feel coordinated.  I have only done the Bowflex twice and I have GOT to start using it more cuz my skin is getting gross looking.
I aim for protein first but  sometimes I go too long before I eat and that's when I reach for carbs.  I have tried salad recently and it was wonderful and I just started putting fruit in my cottage cheese yesterday.
I still don't know what my goal is- other than I would like to lose 100 pounds- but that's just a number.  I can't believe I used to function carrying 70 pounds around- no wonder I was tired all the time.

I can't believe it- it's been 2 months and I've lost over 50 pounds!!!  I am so happy- I feel normal in public again.
I am currently favoring mushy foods to solids.  Have still only thrown-up once and that was on a roll with butter- so I was pleased.  My friends all notice.  I'd like to see my dad- haven't seen him since before surgery- I think he'll be surprised.
