Jonathan Aranow, M.D.
Very informative, extremely confident in his ability. He doesn't pull his punches be honest with him and he will work with you. He discuss the importance of follow up visits and also the risks along with the benefits. On a 1-10 scale he's a 9.9, only GOD gets a rating of 10 with me. I was impressed by his manner, but I believe his competence is what convinced me. He stated at his seminar that some people feel he is arrogant, I did not get that impression, I felt he was good at what he did and was proud of it. If your looking for a doctor to cut and staple this is not the one for you, he is concerned about his patients and wants you to know what you getting into before the surgery.

Finally Got My Lazy (thin) Butt Back On Line

I had my lap band surgury done on 13 June 2005, I had last weighted in at 454lbs. Well it's now 9 Nov 2006 (see I said lazy) and I now weight 238lbs. My blood pressure is now 118/68, cholestrol is 131, I used to take 50mg Lo-Pressor (heart med) 1 in am and 1 in pm, now I take 25mg 1 time a day. And best of all I was taking 100 units of 70/30 insulin 3 times a day, now I do not take any, no shots no pills nothing. I have no regrets at all, sometimes I get the urge for some of the things that don't agree with me, steak and scrambled eggs, don't know why the scrambled eggs bother me but they do. But I have been able to eat just about everything else just smaller volumes.

Just Wanted to Pass On Some good news, 18 more lbs and I will have reached my goal weight.
