He seems very nice and helpful. Everyone in the office is very friendly, and the new office is beautiful. He really emphasized the fact that this is not an \"instant\" cure, and I will definately have to make lifestyle changes in order for this to be successful. He gave me a book that lists everything that I might want to know about the risks of surgery and what to expect after surgery. rnGrand Health Partners have a very structured plan for their patients. They have products that they require us to eat before and after the surgery, and we get every thing right there. They really have their stuff together! The only problem that I have had was it took a while to get all my information together to submit to the insurance.

Let the waiting game begin...

 I called to get my appts. all set up, and now I have to wait for pcp to send a prior authorization form back to GHP before I can schedule any appts.  Man, I am not a very patient person--the wait is killing me. I have wanted this for soooo long, guess a little bit longer isn't going to kill me, but it feels like it, lol.

Starting Over

 It's been a while! I had all but given up on the idea of ever having surgery, but we got to pick a new insurance at work, so here I am again! It's not that I wasn't approved last time, I just didn't have $9000 in my pocket to pay for it at the time. This insurance pays so much more, and I can actually afford it!! I am so excited. I have to redo all my pre-op evals and everything, but it will be worth it. I can't wait until tomorrow morning when I get to call and make an appointment. 

I went through something terrible after I had to cancel my surgery. I got so depressed, started smoking again, I just gave up. I guess because everything that I had been working towards for over a year had just gone down the drain. Now I am trying to quit smoking again (which I have to do in order to have surgery). It sucks, wish I had never started back up.

I am so glad to be back

Surgery is off

I am not going to have the surgery any time soon. What a major let down. I was so excited for my future as a skinny woman. Now I am stil stuck in this fat body, forever maybe.

Why did they wait until a WEEK before to tell me?

Turns out I may not be having surgery after all. I got a call from the hospital today, and she said I need to bring 50% of the cost of surgery in with me when I register.

OK, why did they wait until now to tell me this???  I can't come up with $10,000 in less than a week! I am sooooo upset right now.  I am supposed to go to work tonight, so I tried to take a nap. All I do is dream about crying because I am not going to be able to have the surgery. After all I have been through....

I am so discouraged right now. All I can think about is what is in the kitchen that I can pig out on? Why does this kind of stuff always seem to happen to me?

Day 7

Today is day 7 of my pre-surgery diet. I have totally stuck to the plan they gave me, and am getting tons of water in. I go tomorrow for my product check appt. My surgery is one week from tomorrow!! I absolutely cannot wait!
