Good luck on your
upcoming surgery.
I'll be praying for
an uneventful
surgery and a speedy
recovery. Keep the
Loser bench warm for
me I go in on the
18th!
Monday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!
Hi! My name is Vanessa and like many, I have been overweight or morbidly obese for so many years. I remember as a child being made fun of and being called "round". I was always the heaviest child in the family and my mother, who tried in her own way to be hepful back in the "early" days, would put me on diet it after diet. That was the start of me getting lost in the world of different diets. You name it and I have been on it--mostly in my adult life. Last year I came to the realization that I needed to do more to help myself get healthy and live a longer life. I began to research the RNY (that is what my insurance paid for) and on September 10, 2007 I had the gastric bypass done. I am so happy I have had it done. I feel so good with my weight loss so far (110 lbs) and know that I will continue to loose more. I am slighty disabled--have a leg that goes numb on me due to a disc sitting on a nerve (can have surgery when I loose enough weight) and even that has improved. i can stand longer and walk further. I have been able to do exercises I never thought I could do before. I am off of diabetes, cholestorol and high blood pressure medications. I feel so good and don't have any regrets in having this done.
