My Story

Hi,  I had IJ Bypass in the 70's.  I weighed 424.  Regained most of my weight.  I had a lapband placed in 2005.  I weighed 356 when I had it, and lost down to 170.   In Sept. 2008I was totally occluded and had passed out twice in one day.  My prealbumin level was BELOW severe malnutrition.  I was pukeng up everything I ate over the pastweek.  When my surgeon went in, he said my band appered to be in near perfect position yet I was completely occulded and had been having severe problems off and on for more than a year.  I had all my fluid taken out the previous year.

I am gaining weigh like mad.  I will either have a band replacment or a gastric sleeve.  I need to get information from people who had a band at one time and had it removed and replaced with either the newer band or gastric sleeve.

Please respond if you can give me any info.
