Surgeon Testimonial

Robert T. Marema M.D.
When I first met Dr. Marema I was very nervous and shy, but 2 minutes into our conversation I felt fine. He was such a nice guy. He was making jokes and making me laugh. My mother, who was there with me also liked him too...The next time i saw him was at the hospital the day of surgery...he came to my room to say hi and to ask me if i was ready...I wish i can just get to see him more when i go for my visits, but he is a very busy guy....

His office is great they are well organized and i never have to wait for then 10 minutes in the waiting room...His after care program is really good and i can go as many times as i want to the office...His program is very well put together and planned out and thats one of the reasons i liked him so much...

I was warned of the risks of surgery at the INFO session and any questions i had regarding them were answered.

I rate him a 10, i love the guy!

Surgical competence was better from him because i didnt see him after surgery. I did however see his associates who would come in everyday...

As of now i really dont have anything negative to say....and i hope i never do...i have had no problems with him or the surgery what so ever....i did hate the gtube, but i know there was good reason to have it, so i wont complain about it anymore :)

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
Everyday was a mission trying to make the right decisions, but always failing. Letting myself and my family down everytime we got our hopes up on a promising effective diet, only to be let down.Asking myself "hey why doesnt this fit. i havnet gained any weight" to actually weigh myself and find out i had infact gained 10 lbs.

Its been nearly 10 years that I had my surgery back in 2002. I am no longer 21, and have come to fully appreciate the chance I was given with this tool.

In the process, I have learned quite a few new things, and have apparently forgotten some too. I am back on OH for the help and support I so grately appreciated so many years ago.

I'm ready to get back on track.
