Hubby came through surgery fine...... of course, he has had some pain, but overall, he is doing well.... PRAISE GOD !!!!!
I'm still loving my band and this journey.... weight loss has slowed, however, I know that I have to step it up w/ more exercise and better food choices. I have this wonderful tool, and I need to concentrate on doing my part. I know that I can do it !!!!
I haven't updated in sometime. I am down about 70 pounds and am still loving my band. I have gone from a 20W to a 16 ( no W) and wear an XL shirt. I still have about 50 pounds to go, but I am confident that w/ my band - it is possible.
Pray for hubby - tomorrow morning he is having knee surgery.
Dr Madan gave me .25 cc When he said that I was thinking - that doesn't sound like much - I won't tell any difference... OMG - wrong !!! I pray that I remain w/ this restriction - it's off the chain - awesome !
OMG - I need another fill !!! My next fill is scheduled for Nov 2nd.... it's a struggle again - having to stop myself and use my own control - which is not real good.
I am a wife (almost 19 years), mother of two (ages 17 & 9), and a born-again Christian. I have been overweight most all of my life, other than the few times I'd lose weight, always to gain it back w/ a few friends.
I was banded on July 13th, 2006. My employer has a WLS exclusion in our Cigna policy, so I was self-pay. I am so glad that I was able to have this surgery. So far, I'm down 70 pounds and I feel so good. I look forward to the journey ahead and pray that by this time next year, I'll be at or close to goal. I am so thankful that God gave me the opportunity to be banded and to have not only more years of life to enjoy with my family, but to have a better quality of life as well.
This board has been a blessing to me and has been so informative. I have met many dear friends on this great support system.
