I struggled for years with my weight after having children. It was a roller coaster...loose 10 pounds then gain back 15. I got to the point that I was depressed and unhappy with myself and everything in my life. My husband went with me to my doctor's appointment with my family physician and we discussed options. That is when I learned about bariatric surgery. The surgery has changed my life! Before & After There are currently no before and after photos for this member. See these instructions if you wish to submit your own Before & After photos. Surgeon Testimonial Ravindra Mailapur (COE) My surgery was 1/5/11...10 months later I reached my goal. I lost 115 pounds in 10 months and have never felt better. I am so glad I had gastric bypass surgery and Dr Mailapur is wonderful. The only regret I have is that I didn't have it done sooner. I have had no problems or complications at all. The hardest thing to overcome was the mental ideas of eating & foods you eat. Once you realize you don't have to clean your plate or don't have to eat when everyone else is eating...your will be fine. Eating in the USA is social but I had to learn that eating is just to fuel my body. Dr Mailapur and his staff are great! You are very well informed before, during and after the surgery. Their support is very valuable. I also enjoy the Bariatric support groups they have. You learn alot from other people who are going through the same things you are going through. If you are considering having gastric bypass surgery, I would talk to Dr. Mailapur. He is the best!
