My Story

After struggling with my weight for years I decided last year to have a lap band.  After wrong information from my insurace company I saw a Dr. locally to find out my insurance did cover it.  I then my accident ran into a lady at Sam's Club that had a band by Dr. Ortiz.  I set the date but as time got closer I didn't feel comfortable to go ahead with it so I canceled.  Spring break at my families dude ranch  www.spurcedaleranch.com  this year with my kids I didn't want to ride horses with them do to the struggle getting on the horse and being out of breath due to the altitude and weight.  I decided I want to do something about it.  I have tried many diet and lost 100 lbs twice just to gain it back.  I think I was afraid of the band due to the higher failure rate.  So I decided to have a bypass and went home 2 days later and emailed Dr. Ortiz to find out he only does bands, but recomended Dr. Rumbaut to do bypass.  I set the date which I had to wait a month I never felt nervous just ready to get on with the rest of my life.  I did it April 30 and didn't regret it.
