Surgeon Testimonial

David Provost, M.D.
Doctor Provost is AWESOME. The only downfall is the 4 month waiting list to get your initial consult. Doctor Provost answers ALL your questions and he is very patient. I heard he writes great letters to normally difficult insurance places and gets them to approve. We shall see! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. His staff is great! He was very thorough about what to expect concerning risks and his after care program. Fantastic Bedside manner.

8-16-02-- I am almost 3 weeks post from my Lap Gall Bladder and Adhesion surgery and I am doing GREAT! The swelling is down and I don't seem to have to pain that I was having before. I hope this fixed the problem. David and I went walking last night and we walked a mile and ran 1/4th of a mile. UGH.. we really hate the sagging skin when we run as it flops and makes noises sometimes. I am still looking into plastic surgery. I just got a great new job making way more money and it is sooooooo much fun!!! At the end of the day.. I actually don't want to go home! Anyways.. in October I am eligible for new insurance and I will change from Humana to CHA. Humana has a direct exclusion from getting any kind of plastic surgery .. even if it is reconstructive due to weight loss. I hear CHA is much better especially if it is reconstructive and you have lost more than 100 pounds. Now I am looking for a good surgeon in my area.

Things are going good other than David may have to have a revision to his RNY surgery. He is starting to gain weight and his upper GI showed that he has an enlarged esophagus and his stomach is way larger than it should be. He will have an endoscope soon and they will determine if they need to make the stomach even smaller. He seems kind of excited about this since it will allow him to possibly get near goal since he stopped at 250. He is 2 years out and hated that his weight stopped there. He isn't looking forward to going thru liquids.. soft foods and learning how to eat again.. and also the recovery time from such a surgery. Please pray for him. I love him with all my heart.
