6 days out

Aug 29, 2011

Hello OH friends! Sorry I have been M.I.A for a few days but my router broke and I didn't feel like sitting on the floor in an uncomfortable spot where my modem is located . I am 6 days post-op and still maintaining lol. I say maintaining because it has been hard for me mentally. I didn't realize how horrible of a relationship I have with with food! I mean, I kinda did, but not to this extent. I haven't cried or anything like that, but it is seriously very hard not to able to eat a piece of chicken! Getting in my protien is going horribly! I just can't drink quick and it all tastes nasty! I recently bought Isopure which is more of a water based, premixed type. That is okay, but only cold and the time it takes to drink it makes it warm and I can't drink it warm. I am trying to stay hydrated, but even that is difficult for me at this point. My post-op is on Wednesday so hopefully they can provide me some guidance.

My pain was doing well, but last night I was stripping my tube for my drain so I could empty it and I released the seal by accident and air went back in and OMG I could have died. That hurt soooo bad. I don't even know where the drain is draining from, but that was the worst pain I have felt this entire time. Since then my tummy has been hurting on the left side more than it was before. UGH!!! I was doing sooo good! I will feel sooooo much better when they take this dang thing out which will hopefully be Wednesday. (keeping fingers crossed) My tummy is still really swollen as well. I look like I am about 5 months pregnant lol I can't wait for that to subside as well.

On a good note, I was 286 at my highest weight, 262 when I went in for surgery, and I am not approx 250. I say approx because it depends on the time of day as you all know. That's good I guess. I am still in the second guessing phase lol. Feeling as though I could have did it myself and still been able to eat that Crispy Chicken Subway sandwich they keep advertising. I think I just have too much time on my hands. I am use to working all day long. I am off for a while and sitting home is NOT my friend. I have a 15 month old and live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, so going places doesn't work so well for me yet. Once I get the okay to carry and lift him and this drain removed I think I will do better.

Well thanks friends for listening to my rants lol.
