I never imagined I could get here or that it would be in just 4 1/2 months post op.  But I'm here.  100 lbs gone but not forgotten.  I still have a journey ahead of me but this marks my first real triumph over obesity.   And I don't ever EVER want to go back.

Arghhhh!  I know I'm still in the beginning of my journey but when a stall is 4 weeks long, you start to get nervous!  I am grateful for how well I have done so far.  But I have so much further to go, so I would like to get the ball rolling again!  I started going to Zumba classes on the weekend and bought Hip Hop Abs to do at home.  I wanted to hit the century club before the summer comes but it may not be possible at this point.  I have 14lbs to go still.

Things have been very stressed at home and I'm so glad I have my sleeve or otherwise I'd be camping out in Wendy's parking lot eating my feelings away.  I'm learning to deal with things differently now.  Exercise is a great stress reliever if I can convince myself to do it!

C'mon scale - work with me!

In 2 months I have lost 56lbs.  It has been an amazing 2 months and I just can't imagine what the next year is going to bring.  I feel energized and happy.  I am following my doctor's instructions and staying on track.  It's not always easy, but the end result will be well worth it!

I didn't realize how quickly things would move along this time around.  I thought for sure I'd be looking at February for surgery.   When the scheduler suggest Nov. 5th, my jaw hit the floor!  December 3rd is a better date for me.  Gives me a little more time.  Plus things will be quiet around work.

Also, it's amazing to me that just 1 year ago VSG was not covered by my insurance and I was forced to choose the RNY.  Now I am able to have the surgery I originally wanted which makes me much happier!

So my surgery was scheduled for 9/12/11.  As I was getting admitted they discovered I was pregnant.  After the initial shock and demand for a retest - I had to deal with the fact that my surgery would not happen afterall.  8 months of preparations down the drain.  It was a very difficult life test for me.  Especially because I wanted to be happy that I was having another baby - even if I did get pregnant with Mirena inserted.  Life had other plans for me.

So now my 2nd daughter is 4 months old and I am ready to face my weight again.  I have a telephone interview with my RN to update my chart from last year and I meet with my surgeon on Sept. 20th.  I'm really nervous and I don't know why but it's time for me to take care of me.
