I was sitting here watching this documentary that everyone was talking about on DVD. super Size me was all about how this guy would eat McDonald's and see what happens. Well I already knew that. I was a 3x a day kinda of guy. It would not be past me to hit them for 2 MC griddles in the AM, then double quarter meal plus another burger, then dinner and maybe ice cream right before bed, and do it all over again.
It was 2001 and my job was going nowhere I was not happy in my current role and I was eating my stress. I was a soda pop drinker like you would not believe.
Then my dad got diagnosed with diabetes and i was seeing this awesome guy. Well I knew something had to change. I joined 24 Hr fitness, changed my diet and I was on my way.The first 3 years were awesome. I went from a 58 inch waist to a 44, I went from 400lbs to 290. I was ecstatic. I could buy clothes that i never thought I could. I was feeling great. Fast Forward to today. I am still at 290, hit the gym regularly and nothing. I hover between 270-290 during times of the year. I have tried medications and new routines, new diets and I cannot lose the weight. So here I am about to take the next step, lap band and or sleeve.
