8 Days of "real" food
posted on 7/1/07 8:44 am
So it's that time! 8 days to go. Eight days untill next Monday. Next Monday I go on a clear liquid fast, to prepare for surgery. I'm not really nervous about having surgery, I just want it to be here already. I wish today was next monday!

I'm writing all of this now so that I will remember it when I'm post op. I will remember what all I went through to get to this. I will remember how horribile I used to feel when I ate too much. When I eat sushi, and too much of it, I get this pain in my side when I breathe in, and it's horrible. Sushi is sooo good though, I hope I'm able to eat a little bit of it after I heal from surgery. I'm wondering if I'm going to miss food, even though I will be able to have almost anything. I wonder how fast my weight will come off, and I wonder if age has anything to do with that?

I just feel so... excited I guess. I have so many thoughts and ideas about life after surgery. I guess I don't REALLY know how to feel. The past couple days it's taken me 1-2 hours to fall asleep because I keep thinking and praying about surgery. I just can't believe it's 8 more days of solid food, and then 6 weeks of liquids!

I will be posting ALOT post op, hopefully every week. I'm hoping for a 20-25lb loss by my first post op appt! I'm gonna work my butt off! or at least try my hardest to!

God Bless,
