I met Dr Feng through a friend that is also having the surgery. i went with her for her consult. I thought Dr. Feng was great the moment I met him. He was extremeley informative. He offers support groups that he leads and goes over everything there, free of charge. He spent two hours with me and my family answering all our questions and explaining everything in detail.rnrnShelli, his office manger is wonderful too. She is very inspiring and answers all my questions (believe me, I have many). They have both been very encouraging and I trust him completely!

10 months out

It has been 10 months today.  I feel like I eat like a "normal" person now.  Enjoying pretty much everything, just smaller amounts.  So thankful that I can only eat smaller amounts.  I am down 96lbs.  Still working out lots and watching my carbs and focusing on protein.  It is amazing to me how much better I feel and how much fun it is to be able to shop in the regular stores.  Looking forward to losing more weight!!

New Year

New year, New Goals!  I have been working out 5 days a week consistantly and I feel amazing!  We have had beautiful weather, I have been enjoying hikes and working out at the gym.  Really focused on my weight lifting and am starting to see results.  I am going to Mexico in July and am really looking forward to it.  I will even wear a swimsuit and hang out at the beach.  My goal is to lose 50 more lbs by then.  Will update more soon.

Losing Again...Finally!

Yea!!  I have lost 5 lbs in the last 10 days.  I am so happy to be losing again.  I have been exercising again and it feels great.  I really need to focus on the weight lifting.  It makes such a different. I am so happy I had my sleeve surgery!!!

7 months out

Time flies!  It has been 7 months today.  I have not lost a pound since last month.  But,  I am okay with that.  I have been exercising a lot. Walked 11 miles last week.  Already did 3 today!  My dog (s) are happy and so am I.  My energy is amazing and I am thrilled with my results.  I know I will start to lose again soon.  Patience is a virtue!

Exercised Today..Starting over

Thanks to everyone for your kind words of encouragement.  I got up this morning and went for a hike with my dog!  We both feel great.  Also had my water and dense protein for breakfast.  Cant even image eating anything else for a long time.    I am too full from the chicken...

My Story

My name is Deanna and I am too excited to have my surgery.  I was originally going to go through Kaiser, but did not want to get the lap-band. I am now paying for it myself (through the help of a wonderful friend). Dr Feng is my surgeon and the date is March 27, 2008. I am having the VG in San Francisco, Ca. I start my liquid diet tomorrow.  Wish me luck!
