I met Dr Feng through a friend that is also having the surgery. i went with her for her consult. I thought Dr. Feng was great the moment I met him. He was extremeley informative. He offers support groups that he leads and goes over everything there, free of charge. He spent two hours with me and my family answering all our questions and explaining everything in detail.rnrnShelli, his office manger is wonderful too. She is very inspiring and answers all my questions (believe me, I have many). They have both been very encouraging and I trust him completely!

3 months post Op

I can hardly believe it has already been 90 days (was on Friday the 27th).  My life has improved so much.  I am down 63 lbs and feeling amazing.  I am loving working out, and my job has become a lot more fulfilling. The following things have changed in my life for the better.

I can:
paint my toe nails
bend over and reach things from a seated position
walk with no pain in my heals/hips/feet or back
Sleep thru the night
exercise/hike and move constantly
wear smaller clothes and sexy shoes
I feel good about myself
I'm not tired all the time
I'm bored with TV (used to live for it)
Interested in my hobbies again
I fit in "normal size chairs"
Able to play with my nieces and nephews at the park
Going hiking


Life is blessed and I am looking forward to being even smaller and healthier!!

Fried Food, Oh No!!

I offically know now that my new tummy does not like fried food.  I was craving a Jimboys taco really bad.  Had been for a couple of weeks.  i decided today to give it a try.  First bite, wasn't as good as I rememberd.  Second bite, my tummy cramped up and felt horrible.  I quit eating.  I literaly got sick in my car.  I used the Jimboys bag.  The worst part was the taco was back in the bag and I had to smell it while I  in it.  Gross!!

The good news.. I am not craving a Jimboys Taco anymore... Won't be eating fried food again!!

Eating Carbs Broke Stall

Well, I finally broke my stall.  I decided to up my carbs and pretty much eat want I wanted over the weekend.  I really did not do too bad, but I chose foods I wouldn't normally eat.  Ie:  Nachos from Taco Bell, Hot dog with a bun (couldn't eat much of the bun though) potato chips, cake and ice cream of Father's day.  I still ate lots of protein and fruit in between, but I did not track anything.  I only did this for Saturday-Sunday.  The carbs did make me feel sluggish and I was thrilled to be back to my regular eating.  I lost 3 lbs.  I am at 60 lbs lost and thrilled.  My 3 month anniversary is on the 27th and 60 lbs was my goal!!!  I am so happy.  Still working out and I feel great.

Exercising

Well, I have been working out consistantly this week and I feel great.  Did Cardio 4 days in the morning before work.  Did weights 3 days.  I have decided that Wednesdays and Saturdays are going to be my days off.  However, I am flip flopping this Saturday for Sunday since it is Father's day and I will be with my Daddy all day 

I am feeling so good. I have so much energy.  The other day I came home so Tired, I was almost falling asleep while driving.  Scary.  I layed down to take a nap and didn't fall asleep after about 10 minutes.  So I got up and went to the gym.. It was great.  I have not been napping all week since I have been working out.  My muscles look more defined and my arms don't sway as much.  I even got a 1 hour massage yesterday.... Yippy. It was nice.  Finally lost 1 lb after 14 days.  I am hoping I am over my stall.  

If you are reading this, please exercise.  it makes such a difference!!!

Another Stall

Things have been really good. I have been feeling great and sleeping awesome.   I have become really involved in my church and loving it!!  I have been stuck at 55lbs gone for 9 days now.  But it is so okay.  I am down 2 sizes (somethings 3) and my energy is amazing.  Some days I notice I feel tired and bored, so I just go work out and then I feel so much better...  I went to the gym this am.  Did 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes weights.  It started my day off right. I also got all smiley faces on myfooddiary!!  (except 1 frown for not eating enough calories, it does not know I had WLS) yippy!!!  Drank 100 oz water..

I got my nosed pierced on Friday.  Been wanting to do it for some time and just went for it... Love it!! It makes me feel sassy...
