Surgeon Testimonial

John Feng
I met Dr Feng through a friend that is also having the surgery. i went with her for her consult. I thought Dr. Feng was great the moment I met him. He was extremeley informative. He offers support groups that he leads and goes over everything there, free of charge. He spent two hours with me and my family answering all our questions and explaining everything in detail.rnrnShelli, his office manger is wonderful too. She is very inspiring and answers all my questions (believe me, I have many). They have both been very encouraging and I trust him completely!

6 months out
on September 28, 2008 3:39 pm
Yesterday was my six month anniversary.  What a difference 6 months makes.  I am able to do so much more than I could before my VSG.  I helped my Dad stain his deck on Friday night.  It took us 2 1/2 hours.  I am super sore from it, but I NEVER would have been able to have done it before my VSG.  I had to squat down to reach it. Using my legs so much they started to cramp up towards the end.  It turned out beautiful and I am so proud of myself.

I am down 88 lbs.  Did not make my 90 lbs gone goal, but not too discouraged.  I went shopping this last week and was able to were a XL in normal stores. Weird to not have to shop in the plus sizes.  Took my dog to the beach yesterday and we walked for an hour. It was so nice.  I try to take her for 2-3 mile hikes 3-4 times per week in addition to my gym routine.  Weights are essential when dealing with saggy skin/muscles.  I am able to eat so much more.  had two bad days in a row.  Ate a whole bag of cookies thru out a two day period.  Put my calories at over 2000 each day.. Tons of carbs.  Broke the cycle and started new.  Feel so much better.  It is nice to really be able to start over when you get off track.  I am truly thankful that I had my surgery and will continue to lose to make it to goal.

Okay, I am happy!  I am done 85lbs as of this morning... I want to get to 90lbs gone by the 27th which will be my 6 month anniversery.  I am offically down 48.8% of my excess body weight.  What a great accomplishment in 5.5 months.  I feel like a completely different person.  My confidence is higher, my energy is amazing and I actually crave exercise.  I even jogged a little this week!!  I am so proud of myself and so thankful to God that I made this positive change in my life!! I am truley looking forward to the next 6 months and the adventures it will hold...

Slow Losing
on September 7, 2008 6:29 pm
I have only lost 1 lb in the last 10 days.  I am kinda bummed, but I have been exercing like crazy and my clothes are getting loose again.  I need to focus more on my carbs (limiting them) and drinking more water.  I know it is gonna come off, but I was hoping to be down more for my six months in 20 days!!!
