Thomas K Byrne M.D.
My first impression of him was that he is very informative. He gave an hour long lecture that told about every part of the procedure. He told you about the success stories and the ones that had troubles. He explained all of the risks.rnrnHe left you to make up your mind on what procedure you wanted to have with out trying to sway you in either direction. I kind of felt like they were much more comfortable not doing the Lap band, although they would, only because they had done more of the other.rnrnDr. Morgan gave me my first work up. I requested that Dr. Byrnes do the surgey and I felt like I insulted her. She was very nice about it, I just hate hurting people's feelings. After requesting that I consult with Dr. Byrnes the same day, he was there in minutes, answering any question's that I had. I truely feel like any of the Doctor's in his team would be great.rnrnI arrived at MUSC at 8am and left at 4:30pm. I talked with everyone from the financial consultant to the doctors, the dietion, the nurse, the phyc doctor, and I sat through 3 classes. But when I left, I had tons of information.rnrnI believe my choice in MUSC and Dr. Byrnes and his team was a good one.rnrn

    Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. Still not heard anything from the insurance company.  Don't they realize how hard it is to wait.
I made a friend from this site that is a very cool and nice person.  She had surgery 2 weeks ago and seems to be doing really well.  Actually talking to her and seeing what she is going through has eased my nerves a bit about having mine.  At first I was still toying with the idea in my head, to do it or not to do it.  But now I think she made the right choice for the right reasons, and I believe it would be right for me too.
We live kinda close by and we have so much in common with our kids and life in general, sometimes its like looking in a mirror.
See, God opens doors for us all of the time, and sometimes he even opens windows for us to peek inside of the plans he has for us too.  I believe that of all of the people on this site, he put her there for me.  I still need yall too, so please don't leave.
We just went out to eat.  I will be so glad when I don't have to nor am I able to eat until I am uncomfortable.  Way to much food!!!!   I could spank the person that came up with the saying that there are people all over the world that are hungary, so eat all of your food.  I wish they would take half off of my plate and give it to those hungary people, then I wouldn't be so fat and miserable from overeating.
Well, everyone keep up your good work that have had surgery, and for those of us still waiting, breath deep, our time is coming!!
