Surgeon Testimonial

David Suh, M.D.
Dr. Suh is the most wonderful man. He gave me such a secure feeling going into surgery. rnAfter the surgery he talked with my daughter and explained everything to her that went on with my surgery and how I was doing. Prior to the surgery he answered all of my questions, as well as my daughters' questions too. I never felt rushed or pressured when I was talking to him. His staff is also very helpful and supportive. They are always available for questions.

I am a single mother of four who decided it was time for me to get healthy and fit.  I have always been heavy and have done the yoyo path like many other obese people.  It was a long process for me to decide to have wls.  It took almost a year after finishing my class at Kaiser to finally decide to do the surgery.  I dont regret a minute of it.  I have felt good since the surgery and continue to expand my weight loss and eating habits.  It feels good to finally be on the losing side.

Its Official - 6 months out
on April 29, 2009 9:22 am
Well its official - I am six months out.  What to say about the most life changing 6 months of your life.  I feel like I have a new lease on life.  I no longer hesitate to walk the stairs to my bedroom - I no longer need to find that close parking spot.  In fact, I park at the first one I see.  My life is not consumed by sitting and watching TV and eating.  I am enjoying life again.  I love to go to stores and look at "normal" clothing.  Some may not fit me yet, but I know i am on my way to shopping in the normal size area.

This has been an incredible journey, not yet over, but almost halfway.  I know I have changed my life for the better.  I know that I have to make a life long commitment to being healthy.  I love it though.

I thank all the people that have supported me thus far in my journey, and I hope I will be a support and inspiration to those that are thinking about the surgery.  It is a tough decision, it took me a year after my classes at Kaiser to make the decision to have surgery.  I do not regret the decision, only the delay.

I love my RNY!!!!!!!!   Down 85 lbs, BMI from 57 to 41.  Last check down 54".

5 Months Out
on April 2, 2009 5:48 pm
I am 5 months out and down 80 lbs.  I have gone from a 32 to a 24.  Wow - I cant remember the last time I was a 24.  I am almost 1/2 to goal.  Never in my life would I think I would be able to do this.  It hasnt been real hard.  There have been tough times but there are sure alot of good times.    We are so excited that my daughter from Washington is coming down July 4.  My other daughter is hiding me so that it is a surprise to her how I look now.  I was walking down the hall at the office today and I was thinking how far I have gotten and how much more life there is to live.  Take care better get back to work.

One Month OUt
on December 9, 2008 10:39 am
Well actually I'm about six weeks out.  I could never imagine how wonderful this journey is.  Sure it is tought getting all the protein in as well as the liquids.  But I just keep sipping sipping and sipping.  It is so wonderful to be able to go to the back of the closet and find a shirt or a dress and it fits!!!  The rewards of feeling better, looking better far out weigh any problems.
