My Story

I have battled my weight my entire life. I had lost over 100 pounds 10 years ago and gained it all back plus 50. I was miserable in my life and then started having serious health issues 3 years ago. After visiting my cardiologist and he told me my heart problem was due to my weight and either I lost weight or would be dead within 10 years. I tried several times myself to lose the weight but failed miserably.  So, I finally decided to have gastric bypass done. After preparing and completing my classes and all the pre-testing my insurance denied me not once but twice. So I then filed an appeal and wrote a letter and was then approved immediately. After a year of waiting and getting frustrated I gained 20 more pounds.
My new life began on May 11, 2012. I could not be happier with my new life. I am 8 weeks out tomorrow and have lost 60 pounds. I follow my diet very strict because I do not want my old lifestyle back.
