Well OH I know I haven't updated my page in a minute (so sorry ), but fam here I am again still standing and moving forward.  I have lost a total of 175 pounds on my own and still losing.  i still have not reached my goal yet as the weight loss has slowed a bit but I am slowly but surely getting there.  i will continue to post pics when I have the time and continue to keep everyone posted.  Did I mention my weight loss was purely natural?!  No surgery for me at all!  I am so proud of myself (pats self on back, gives a pound....lol!).  Again thanks everyone for your comments and support.  You have no idea how inspiring you all are and how we can be to each other.  For those of you who have nothing but negativity to spread I want to thank you as well for your insight ....keep motivating me!!  Smooches!!

Hey OH,
I have been away for a minute but I wanted to post today that I am stronger than ever!!  I did not have the surgery after all this time and tests, appts, money spent, etc.  I was supposed to have my surgery on 02/01/11 after December 2010 drama.  I get a call from my surgeon's office coordinator on the 27th of Jan 2011 saying I needed to pay a co-pay of $2,500 dollars or I was going to have to reschedule my surgery yet again!!!  I went off!!  I told her I couldn't believe that she would call me what...4 day prior to my surgery and demand such a large amount?!!  I was livid and again became discouraged.  That call ended with me rescheduling for 02/04/11 and me stressing trying to get the money up.  Well by the third I weighed my options.  By this on my own I had lost 70lbs.  That was 30lbs more than my doctor required of me to lose initially.  And to add I got an anonymous call from my aunt who said she dreamed I called her and told I was not coming back from the hospital and I needed her to raise my kids.  That hit home to me and I just made the decision to continue my weight loss on my own.  I contacted the office and told them to take me off the schedule for surgery and that I no longer wanted to have it.  Do you know this girl had the audacity to say "OK, well if you want to cancel now, when you come back there will be an additional fee to start up again"!  I bit my tongue and told her never to worry cause I won't be back.  I prayed about it and let go.  I am going strong on my weight loss journey down 80lbs now!!  I wish the best for any and all who get the surgery, I just don't think it was right for me.  Thank you all for your posts, messages and friend requests good and bad,  I think we all will do well with much support and positive influences.  I have met some very good ppl here that gave encouragement along the way and then some!!  I still plan to continue here on OH.  Feel free to check out my pics as I post in the post op photos!!  I am taking my seat on the loser's bench like it or not!!!  Love you all,

Hey OH fam,
As you can guess by now I did not have my surgery on 12/27/2010.  Due to my not having my pre op EGD done as scheduled.  I have rescheduled my EGD for 1/25/2011.  I have my pre op appt the following day 1/26/2011.  If all goes well I am scheduled to have my surgery on 2/01/2011.  On a lighter note I have continued with my self wt loss.  I am now down to 345lbs!!!  Keep me in your prayers OH.

So sorry for the delay but here is the verdict  First I had to reschedule my previous appt of 12/03 due to personal reasons.  I rescheduled for yesterday 12/06/2010 @ 2:15pm.  made it to my appt super early because I was sooo excited.  i was a little leery about my weight because my sister's home scale proved to be inaccurate.  When I got on the scale before I left for the appt her scale said I was at 380lbs!  Not good....I went to the appt because I had a great feeling anyways!!  Well finally got in to see the Dr.  Stepped on the scale and....drum roll please!.....371lbs!!!  I was so happy and relieved to see that number!!  And not to mention darn too-tin' proud of myself!!!  Had my talk with the doc and I am now rescheduled for 12/27/2010!!!  I was elated to hear that!!  Now the ugly stuff..... I have to have an EGD because it wasn't done prior to approval from insurance.  So the doc wants to have it done.  I have to pay on my deductible $868.00 before the insurance will even look at a claim for it.  I was scheduled for tomorrow to have it done but they brought up how much it would cost me out of pocket and I had to reschedule.  I am scheduled to have the EGD now on 12/22/2010 and then have to weigh in at the doc office again on 12/23/2010.  He has put me on a strict hardcore liquid diet cold turkey!!  He wants me to have lost another 15 to 20lbs by the 23rd.  There are a few hurdles ahead of me before I actually have the surgery, definitely discouraging!  I am trying to remain as positive as possible about them!  Continue praying OH fam....someone has been listening!!  Thank you all for your comments and kind words!  I really do appreciate them.  I will keep you guys updated.  Until next time......

Hey OB fam.  I got a call from my surgeon's office two days ago to come in to talk with the Dr. about m weight loss and to finally schedule my surgery!.  I gota reminder yesterday about my appointment and today is the day Thursday 12/02/2010 that I go in at 3pm to talk to him and get my new surgery date!!  I am nervous but I am very ready to get this done.   Pray for me OB fam!  I will update you later on the visit!  Until then.......
