Hi! My name is Dee, Im a 38yr old married woman with 5 kids.. Yes 5! 19, 17, 15, 12, and 4! I am about to start a journey of weight loss at George Washington Hospital in DC. I have had all my appointments and my insurance approval and I had my hospital tour this past Wednesday.. I think for me, that was the freak out part for me, I am not a fan of hospitals and that kind of messed with me a little bit.!

I wanted a place to blog about my experience and just vent.  My husband had the RNY in 2009 a month before our 4year old was born and I have his support but I also have someon in my ear always talking about always forcing there opinions on me..  that can get quite frustrating.,. Especially since He did not maintain a good size weight. I LOVE MY HUBBY but I am using my process also as a invite for him to get back on target and lose a lot more weight that he has gained back. Now trust me, when they say that your stomach can expand and will allow you to eat more it is true, I have seen it with my husband and I have also witness the dumping sagas and painful process when you do not stay on the required diet.

All that to say, I want to make sure I do this the right way and really take advantage of getting to my goal weight and maintaining it, and maybe just maybe it will motivate him once more. I am extremely excited about this process. It is required for me to do a pre-surgical diet prior to and I am glad they are making me do this because, I am learning about reading the labels and making right decisions on what protein bars and shakes are perfect.. It is confusing because not everybody can afford to buy all the name brands one they recommend so the frustrating part is trying to find one that matches closely with they recommended. Anyway, I can ramble on but I wont!!! LOLOLOL, Glad to be hear and cant wait to share my side of my story and read about others successful and impending procedures!
