My Story

I had been over weight since 1998. I had opened 2 more Delis at the time                                                                                                         quit exercising, working 80 hours a week and the pounds rolled onto me.
I developed type 2 diabetes in 2001. I could not loose the weight due to
emotional and psychological reasons. After I quit drinking and smoking and
then being active in the gym and outdoors there was nothing Left but me
and food. The food won! I had some sores that would not heal, my feet were
starting to tingle and my sugar was getting harder to control. That is what
pushed me into the MGB. Had my annual blood work ( about 12 vials) and my
Doctor told me that my A1C was better than his. I had my surgery December 5th 2007.
I will never forget this day or the experience. There is so much to share about this
4 year journey I have been on.
