Called Dr. Crooms office today and made an appt for 10-18-07.  The nurse said it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get approval from the insurance company.  I hope to get a surgery date by January 08.  My husband has given me his support and my children and my mother.  It really helps to know that everyone is supporting you.  It took a while (about 8 months) but they have finally told me to do what I think I need to do.   That is a load off of me right there!

Went To Lap Band Seminar in Tall. Florida.  Dr. Crooms is very nice and down to earth.  He answered every question with patience.  He was very honest in saying this is a long term committment for him and the patient.  His nurse, Michelle, was very informed about the surgery and the insurance.
There was about 60 people there.  I will be making an appt. with him very soon.
